Our Own Fabric Design
The love for floral watercolor led Kate & Avie owner to explore the creation of design that would be unique. Transfer the design onto 100% cotton, and have home decor products custom made, was the goal.

Student's Work
I am seeing so many beautiful creations in my workshops and outside. I would like to share these with all of you by showcasing them here.
Meet June, who first started out with me last in 2018 with no experience at all. She's my model student and to date have sewn the most quilts.
Here's what June says about her experience so far.
"Daphne introduced me to sewing two years ago. I found this hobby very therapeutic and rewarding. I have sewn quilts for my children, which have become special and personal gifts to them. I have also made table cloths and sofa coverings to beautify my home. I also made dresses for my grand-daughter and a carry doll back pack for her. "
Meet May, who joined my workshops with a friend and became a star. She gained her confidence by starting with small projects, pouches, bags and a dress. Her final piece with me was this beautiful quilt for her daughter.
Here's what May says about her experience.
"I like to sew and make little gifts for my friends. But never venture any big project like a quilt. To me it's very daunting.I can only admire the beautiful quilts I see. Thanks to Daphne, with her encouragement and guidance, I finally made one for my daughter. It is a special gift from me to her."

Meet Linda, my regular student who started sewing last year. She's a lady with a big heart. She will find a good cause to support and contribute with useful everyday items that she sews.
Here's what Linda says about her experience.
"I started sewing in 2019. One of my most satisfying and memorable project was the drawstring bags and pillowcases I sewed for the orphanage. It warms my heart to see photos of the orphans using the bags and knowing each orphan has their own personal pillowcase. The other heartwarming experience is being able to sew my girlfriends gifts such as pot holders and tote bags! I also sewed house hold items like cushions and dining set of table runner and place mats. Daphne has been encouraging and her guidance has helped me make a difference at home, with my friends and community."
