Sashiko is a type of Japanese folk embroidery using hand-sewn running stitches to create a patterned background.
 
This sashiko kit features a pre-printed pattern and instructions (in Japanese with easy to follow pictures) to complete the embroidery. The completed piece can be sewn into a placemat, table runner or cushion cover.
